CPO Training – Please hold a date!
The Scottish Government is committed to continuing to make the Compulsory Purchase system as accessible as possible and to build confidence and knowledge among local authority staff and beyond.
Following last year’s successful CPO Conference they have been working with the Scottish Compulsory Purchase Association (SCPA), RICS and SOLAR to plan a series of FREE training and networking events across Scotland on the subject of “Delivering a Successful Compulsory Purchase Project”.
The draft programme for the events is here. Attendees will hear from a number of experienced experts in the field of compulsory purchase and will have the opportunity to participate in workshops exploring various aspects of the process for promoting a CPO and estimating and negotiating compensation.
To enable as many people to attend as possible the event will be held in different locations as follows:
- Perth 4th March 2019
- Edinburgh 25th March 2019
These training events are free to attend for all local authority staff and members of SCPA, RICS, SOLAR and ACES.
Support with travelling expenses may also be available.
